“Job Overview
The Infrastructure Solution Architect is a seasoned professional role, who applies in-depth IT knowledge and experience towards gathering and analyzing business / application requirements in support of Citi financial services. With the goal to design strategic target state architecture, using defined standards to maximize performance and capacity, while driving IT costs down. They would be familiar with infrastructure Platform as a Service (PaaS), providing IT services within the private cloud, integrating orchestration and automation to quickly deliver solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
– Proven, hands-on experience architecting and leading the migration of complex, enterprise applications to container platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.
– Strong understanding of container-native storage (CSI), networking, and security principles required for running mission-critical stateful workloads in production.
– Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools (e.g., Helm, Kustomize, Ansible) within a Kubernetes/OpenShift ecosystem.
– Demonstrated expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB β with practical experience in high-volume, mission-critical environments.
– Hands-on experience designing data replication, partitioning, sharding, indexing strategies, and stored procedures.
– Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, data warehousing, and analytics platforms.
– Solid understanding of NoSQL technologies, distributed systems, and microservices-based architectures.
– Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
– Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and managed database services.
