Job Overview

Work on globally distributed systems for traffic management, load balancing, and secure networking infrastructure for Apple services.

Required Skills & Qualifications

– Experience in traffic management, networking infrastructure, or distributed systems.

– Software engineering or reliability engineering experience.

– Bachelor of Science in relevant engineering disciplines.

– Preferred: Fluent in modern languages (Golang, Rust, Python, Java, Bash), experience with load balancing, TLS, cloud-native proxies, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, operational excellence.

Responsibilities

– Design, build, and operate highly available infrastructure systems.

– Collaborate with development teams to influence architecture and embed SRE best practices.

– Respond to incidents (on-call rotation) and proactively prevent them.

– Evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovation.

– Contribute to continuous improvement: documentation, postmortems, SLOs.

– Mentor teammates and share knowledge.

– Solve complex technical problems hands-on as an individual contributor.
